PARIS, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- A fire at a building in central Paris left one person dead on Wednesday, Paris Fire Brigade said.
The blaze broke out earlier in the day on the fourth floor of a residential building in Les Halles, before spreading to the next floor.
Two people were injured in the fire while two others have been evacuated, according to firefighters.
The cause of the fire was not immediately identified. Media reports said a gas leak possibly led to the incident.
