JERUSALEM, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- The number of tourists entering Israel in the first nine months rose 15 percent year on year, according to a Thursday report by the Central Bureau of Statistics.
From January to September, 3.1 million visitors entered Israel, of whom 2.9 million were tourists who stayed over for at least one night, the report said.
In the same period in 2017, some 2.7 million visitors entered Israel, of whom 2.54 million were tourists.
