MOSCOW, Oct. 3 (Xinhua) -- A Russian helicopter crashed in Kostroma region near Moscow on Wednesday, killing three people, local media reported, citing emergency authorities.
The helicopter crashed at around 6:40 p.m. Moscow time (1540 GMT) in a forest near a village and burned up. The brand and ownership of the chopper as well as the identity of victims are unclear.
The flight was not registered and authorized.
