HANOI, Oct. 4 (Xinhua) -- Vietnamese Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc will attend the 10th Mekong-Japan Summit in Tokyo and visit Japan on Oct. 7-10, Vietnam's Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday.
Phuc will hold talks with Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe, and meet with the Japanese emperor and speakers of the House of Representatives and the House of Councilors, the ministry's spokeswoman Le Thi Thu Hang said at a regular press briefing on Thursday.
The Mekong-Japan Summit has been held every year since 2009.
