CHENGDU, Oct. 9 (Xinhua) -- China will channel more energy into mass entrepreneurship and innovation to stimulate market vitality and push forward high-quality development, Premier Li Keqiang said Tuesday.
Li made the remarks in a written instruction to the opening ceremony of the mass entrepreneurship and innovation week in Chengdu, southwest China's Sichuan Province.
"As China's emphasis on entrepreneurship and innovation helped unleash innovation potential, stimulate market vitality and create jobs in recent years, more efforts are required to deepen the country's innovation-driven strategy and facilitate quality development," Li said.
"The governments will work to further streamline administration and improve services, step up property rights protection, and build a market-oriented, law-based and internationalized environment for entrepreneurs and innovators."
The premier also highlighted Internet technology in improving public services and inspiring creativity, and expects it to play a greater role in fostering new growth drivers and enhancing national economic competitiveness.
