BEIRUT, Oct. 20 (Xinhua) -- Lebanese President Michel Aoun called Saturday for the finalization of the agreements that were prepared between Lebanon and Armenia, the presidency's website reported.
"Agreements between Lebanon and Armenia are very important as they aim at boosting ties between the two countries in a way that would serve their interests," said Aoun during his meeting with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan at Baabda Palace in Beirut.
"My country will maintain its work with the UNIFIL (United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon) to preserve security and stability in south Lebanon," Pashinyan said.
He added that the Armenian defense minister will visit the army of his country on the Lebanese borders to reinforce the support.
Pashinyan also met with Lebanese Prime Minister-designate Saad Hariri over issues related to bilateral ties between the two countries.
