6.8-magnitude quake hits 35km SW of Lithakia, Greece -- USGS

NEW YORK, Oct. 25 (Xinhua) -- An earthquake measuring 6.8 on the Richter scale jolted 35km SW of Lithakia, Greece at 22:54:51 GMT on Thursday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 16.55 km, was initially determined to be at 37.4775 degrees north latitude and 20.5599 degrees east longitude.
