BEIRUT, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- A storm in the past hours ripped out plastic refugee camps in Wazzani, a village in Hasbaya district in southwestern Lebanon, local media reported Friday.
The heavy storm resulted in damage in this area, according to a statement published by Elnashra, an online independent newspaper.
More than 1 million Syrian refugees are registered with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Lebanon, while the government estimates the true number of Syrians in the country at 1.5 million.
A big number of these refugees live in camps in Lebanon.
