RIO DE JANEIRO, Oct. 26 (Xinhua) -- Guangzhou Evergrande midfielder Paulinho has been recalled to Brazil's squad for friendlies against Uruguay and Cameroon in England next month, the Brazilian Football Confederation said on Friday.
Brazil coach Tite also recalled Juventus winger Douglas Costa while Napoli midfielder Allan and Cruzeiro goalkeeper Gabriel Brazao were called up for the first time.
As expected, the 23-man squad includes Paris Saint-Germain's Neymar, Barcelona pair Philippe Coutinho and Arthur as well as Real Madrid's Casemiro and Marcelo.
Paulinho has not played for the Selecao since the team's 2-1 loss to Belgium in the World Cup quarterfinals in July.
The 30-year-old has been in impressive form since rejoining his former club Guangzhou on a year-long loan from Barcelona after the World Cup.
Bidding for an eighth consecutive Chinese Super League title, Guangzhou are currently second in the 16-team standings, two points behind leaders Shanghai SIPG with four matches remaining.
Costa missed Brazil's friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Argentina this month due to an ankle injury. Allan, a former Brazil U-20 player, has been one of Napoli's most consistent performers since joining the Italian club from Udinese in 2015.
Brazao, 18, has yet to make his first-team debut for Cruzeiro and his selection continues Tite's recent policy of including young reserve goalkeepers in his squads for friendlies.
Brazil will meet Uruguay in London on Nov. 16 and Cameroon in Milton Keynes four days later.
