DOHA, Oct. 27 (Xinhua) -- The 12th Milipol Qatar 2018, an international security exhibition, will be held Monday in Doha amid the ongoing siege imposed by Gulf neighbors, state-run Qatar News Agency (QNA) reported on Saturday.
In a statement, the Qatari Ministry of Interior announced that Over 200 local and international companies will participate in the expo.
During the exhibition, many experts and specialists on internal security, civil defence and public safety, decision-makers and leaders will discuss the latest security solutions.
''The internal security and civil defense are cornerstones of any country, and Qatar is a leading country in the field of security and pays great attention to this system to ensure and enhance its security together with our leading national companies," the statement said.
In this year's event, the participants will represent more than 25 countries around the world including France, Turkey, Bulgaria, China, the United States, Britain, Italy, Germany and Spain.
Organized once every two years in Qatar, Milipol is attracting some of the major companies in the public security sector around the world, and their equipment and accessories will be showcased at the expo.
Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and Egypt cut off ties with Qatar in June 2017, accusing it of backing Iran and supporting "terrorism," which Qatar has denied.
