ATHENS, Oct. 30 (Xinhua) -- A 5.4-magnitude earthquake struck the western Greek island Zakynthos on Tuesday, according to the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center.
The tremor's epicenter was located in the sea area some 44 km southwest of Zakynthos island in the Ionian Sea, about 280 km southwest of Athens, the same area as that of a 6.4-magnitude quake that occurred on Friday, according to an e-mail announcement.
There have been no reports of casualties so far.
Greek seismologists have recorded over 100 aftershocks following Friday's quake, which caused property damages only.
