China-bound Russian airliner makes emergency landing after windshield cracking

MOSCOW, Nov. 4 (Xinhua) -- A Russian airliner en route from Novosibirsk City to the Chinese resort city of Sanya made an emergency landing at the airport of Krasnoyarsk City on Sunday after the pilots spotted a crack on the windshield.

The Boeing 737 aircraft carrying 166 passengers and 6 crew members safely landed and the passengers continued their journey using another plane, according to local media reports.

Authorities are investigating the cause of the windshield crack.
