SANAA, Nov. 7 (Xinhua) -- The Saudi-led coalition killed six people in an airstrike on two houses in Yemen's northwestern province of Hajjah on Wednesday, local residents said.
Three others were wounded in the airstrike that hit the homes in Ram village of Mastaba district, resident Abdullah Shuayb, who is a member of the local council in adjoining Abs district, told Xinhua by phone.
He said the victims are farmers and members of two relative families.
Two weeks ago, a coalition airstrike wounded two beekeepers and destroyed 50 beehives in Abs.
Saudi Arabia is leading an Arab military coalition that intervened in Yemen in March 2015 to support the government of President Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi after the Houthi rebels forced him into exile.
Iranian-allied Houthis control much of the country's north, including the capital Sanaa, since September 2014.
The Yemeni civil war has killed more than 10,000 people and displaced nearly three million others, according to UN agencies.
