KUNDUZ, Afghanistan, Nov. 9 (Xinhua) -- A total of 13 people, including five Taliban militants, have been killed as clash flared up in Qala-e-Zal district of the northern Kunduz province on Friday, local official said.
The clash, according to Asadullah Sadat, a member of provincial council, broke out in Aqtepa area of Qala-e-Zal district early morning, leading to the death of five Taliban militants and eight police personnel.
Fifteen others including five Taliban fighters and 10 police personnel had been injured, the official added.
Taliban militants have not commented on the report.
