LUSAKA, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- The following are news highlights in Zambia's major media on Sunday.
-- Civil Forum on Housing and Habitat Zambia (CFHHZ) says failure to provide decent accommodation to the majority of Zambians was a gross abuse of basic human rights.
CFHHZ executive director Grace Mtonga said there was need for government to synchronize the legal framework and develop a comprehensive policy framework that was well coordinated with other policies that focus on housing and human settlement. (Times of Zambia)
-- ActionAid Zambia says it is deeply saddened by what it called the continued abuse of women in the country.
Reacting to a video of a woman with a baby on her back and carrying a case of water on her head being made to pick up an empty water plastic bag by a Chitambala Mwewa which has gone viral, and the cyber bullying of Hope Chishala, a radio presenter at Hot FM by the Watchdog, ActionAid country director Nachula Ziba said in a statement that the two incidents were were deeply disturbing.
