BEIJING, Nov. 11 (Xinhua) -- Xinjiang recorded their third consecutive victory, beating Jilin 117-115 in the 10th round of the Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Sunday.
Al Jefferson, who had played for Minnesota Timberwolves, led Xinjiang to start the match with a 10-2 run and took a 11-point lead before visiting Jilin narrowed it to 30-28 into the second.
After Jilin led 50-47, Abudushalamu answered with a 3-pointer and an easy basket to help Xinjiang finish the first half 56-50. When Xinjiang went cold during the third quarter, Jilin overtook and surged ahead 90-84 as their shooters became hot.
However, Xinjiang managed to claw back the deficit as much as 12 points down the final minutes, and Darius Adams hit two key free throws for the eventual victory.
Adams finished with 44 points and 16 assists, Abudushalamu got 23 points. Maciej Lampe and Dominique Jones each got 32 points.
Ren Junfei scored a game-high 33 points, Sonny Weems had 29 points, 12 assists as Guangdong beat Bayi 104-96, improving their league-leading record to 10-0.
Pierre Jackson got 63 points and made a buzzer beater from beyond the arc to help Aolong beat Shanghai 137-136, Jimmer Fredette added an amazing 75 points for Shanghai.
Elsewhere on Sunday, Liaoning beat Sichuan 111-100, Qingdao lost to Guangsha 109-115, Shanxi edged Jiangsu 106-103, and Beijing tamed Zhejiang 114-109 in overtime.
