FUZHOU, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Lv Xianjing from the Hengxiang cycling team retained both yellow and white jerseys in the second stage of the International Cycling Union (UCI) 2.1 Tour of Fuzhou on Thursday.
Lv continued to be the best Chinese rider and the top rider in the individual overall rankings with an overall time of 5:08:54.
"Our team goal is to secure the yellow jersey, so my teammates and I raced with tactics we planned in advance," said Lv. "We need to use our energy well and someone had to pull away at the right time."
Leon Rohde from the German national team won the stage by finishing in a time of 2:37:27, followed by Kaden Groves from China's Mitchelton-Bike Exchange team.
Joey van Rhee from the Netherlands' Monkey Town Continental team placed third, but managed to retain the green jersey as the best sprinter to first race through two sprint markers.
