BEIJING, Nov. 16 (Xinhua) -- Wu Qian scored 29 points and Tyler Hansbrough collected 27 as Zhejiang beat Xinjiang 125-108 in the 12th round of the 2018-2019 Chinese Basketball Association (CBA) league on Friday.
Courtesy of Wu and Hansbrough, Zhejiang opened the game on a 10-2 run before visiting Xinjiang cut the deficit down to 29-26 into the second quarter.
Nicolas Minnerath, who played for Shanghai last season before coming to Xinjiang as a free international player, hit five in a row to put Xinjiang on top 38-35. Zhejiang collected a pair of free throws through Hansbrough to lead 55-51 going into halftime.
Xinjiang drove an 8-0 run to outscore their opponents 59-55 but Wu scored nine straight points to take an 87-80 lead for Zhejiang heading into the fourth quarter.
Hansbrough was dominant while Zhejiang jumped to a 15-point advantage in the last quarter, and Marcus Denmon returned in the final minutes to close out the win over Xinjiang.
Darius Adams notched up 33 points and 14 assists for Xinjiang, but he shot 4 for 20 from beyond the arc.
Jimmer Fredette added 36 points and Luis Scola scored 22 to lead five players in double figures as Shanghai overcame Sichuan 113-101.
Elsewhere, Guangdong beat Qingdao 120-99 to seal their 12th consecutive win, Shanxi lost to Shenzhen 118-130, Guangsha beat Tianjin 126-106 and Liaoning beat Guangzhou 120-108.
