TRIPOLI, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- Libyan Deputy Prime Minister Abdussalam Kajman stressed on Sunday importance of the return of South Korean embassy and companies to Libya.
Kajman made his remarks during a meeting with the South Korean Ambassador to Libya Choi Sung-soo in the capital Tripoli, where the two officials discussed bilateral cooperation.
"Kajman stressed importance of the return of South Korean embassy and companies, which have contributed greatly to development projects in Libya," according to a statement issued by the deputy prime minister's information and communication office.
According to the ambassador, the South Korean embassy was scheduled to return to Tripoli in September, but it failed to do so as new security arrangements in the city are still being implemented, the statement added.
He also expressed keenness for the return of South Korean embassy and companies to Libya soon.
Most foreign embassies and companies in Libya left the country in 2014 because of the violent clashes breaking out in Tripoli between rival armed groups, which led to the current political division in the country.
