BEIJING, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Serbia moved to the top of the latest Women's FIVB World Rankings thank to their historic gold medal at the 2018 FIVB World Championship in Japan last month, according to FIVB.
Serbia moved up two spots since the previous release of the list. China dropped one slot to stand in second while the United State are third.
In the men's rankings, Brazil remain top of the rankings followed by the United States while Italy moved up a place to third.
The latest world rankings take into account the performance of teams in the 2017 World League/World Grand Prix, the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, the 2015 World Cups and the 2018 World Championships.
