7 passengers killed in bus accident in eastern Turkey

ANKARA, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Seven people were killed and 15 others injured in a bus accident in Turkish eastern province of Malatya on early Thursday.

According to local media Yeni Safak, these passengers were traveling from Istanbul to Malatya for attending a funeral, but their minibus lost control on slippery ground, then overturned and seriously damaged.

Ambulances and rescue teams were immediately dispatched to the scene of the accident. The wounded passengers were taken to nearby hospitals.
