YANGON, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- A 5.6-magnitude earthquake Wednesday jolted Myanmar's Kachin state, said a release from the meteorology and hydrology department.
The quake struck at 16:47 local time, the release said.
Its epicenter was 57.9 km west of Putao and 202 km northwest of Myitkyina seismological observatory in the region.
No damage is reported so far, an official from the department told Xinhua.
