ULAN BATOR, Nov. 29 (Xinhua) -- Mongolian Prime Minister Ukhnaa Khurelsukh has submitted a request to dismiss the country's parliament speaker, Miyegombo Enkhbold, to the Constitutional Court, the government press office said Thursday.
Audio recordings were made public last year that some officials of the Mongolian People's Party (MPP), including the current speaker of parliament Enkhbold, allegedly used government positions as a tool to run in the parliamentary election in 2016, Khurelsukh was quoted by the press release as saying.
Khurelsukh also said that Enkhbold has been interfering in attempts to properly resolve the case. "So, I believe that the parliament speaker will be no longer allowed to exercise his full power," the prime minister said.
