TOKYO, Dec. 4 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks lost ground Tuesday morning as investors sought to secure gains made recently following the Nikkei's recent winning streak.
The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average lost 155.89 points, or 0.69 percent, from Monday to 22,418.87.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, fell 17.81 points, or 1.05 percent, at 1,671.24.
Marine transportation, oil and coal product, and miscellaneous product-linked issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break.
