YANGON, Dec. 7 (Xinhua) -- Chinese textile and garment exhibition was launched at Myanmar Convention Center (MCC) in Yangon on Friday.
The exhibition, organized by China's Ministry of Commerce, will last until Dec. 9.
The exhibition would be a platform for cooperation in the two countries' textile and garment industry, said Han Shengjian, deputy director of the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce of China at the opening ceremony.
He called for further bilateral cooperation in the industry.
Textile and garment become one of Myanmar's main export products, and China tops the list of foreign investors in Myanmar's garment industry, Daw Khine Khine Nwe, joint secretary general of the Union of Myanmar Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI) said.
The three-day exhibition features 121 booths by 94 Chinese enterprises, showcasing over 100,000 kinds of textiles and garments from over 150 Chinese factories.
