LONDON, Dec. 10 (Xinhua) -- British stocks decreased on Monday, with the benchmark FTSE 100 Index down by 0.83 percent, or 56.57 points, to close at 6,721.54 points.
Randgold Resources, a gold mining business, soared 5.53 percent, the top gainer of the blue chips. Glaxosmithkline and British American Tobacco increased by 2.24 percent and 2.16 percent, respectively.
GVC Holdings,a multinational sports betting and gaming group,was the worst performer in the blue chips, with its shares losing 5.90 percent. Melrose Industries, a London-based company that specializes in buying and improving underperforming businesses, dropped 5.31 percent. easyJet, a low-cost British airline, fell 5.17 percent. Enditem
