RAMALLAH, Dec. 11 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian Ministry of Health said Tuesday that a Palestinian man was shot and killed on Tuesday in Idna, west of Hebron in the south of the West Bank.
The man was identified as Omar Hasan Awad, 27 years old.
The ministry said Awad was shot by several bullets in the back and left on the ground bleeding until a Palestinian ambulance arrived at the scene and transported him to hospital in Hebron, where he was proclaimed dead on arrival.
Israeli media reports said that Israeli forces opened fire towards a vehicle after its driver refused to stop for checking at a military checkpoint.
