GAZA, Dec. 23 (Xinhua) -- Palestinian militants based in the Gaza Strip on Sunday warned that the marches and protests organized in the coming Friday near the border will be a real test for Israel.
The militant groups said in a joint emailed press statement that "we insist on protecting our people and our joint military chamber of operations has tough responses that will be decided depending on the enemy's behaviors and measures on the ground."
"The behavior of the Israeli army on Friday exceeded all red lines," said the statement, adding "armed resistance won't stand with hands cuffed towards these crimes."
"When it comes to the blood, pain, wounds and dignity of our people, no money, no electricity, no water, no air can stop us from doing our duty," the statement noted.
On Friday, four Palestinians were killed and 40 others were wounded by Israeli live gunshots, including two journalists and four paramedics in clashes with the Israeli army during marches on the border with Israel.
