SYDNEY, Dec. 29 (Xinhua) -- Britain beat Greece 2-1 in the opening match of the eight-team Hopman Cup tennis tournament in Perth, Australia, on Saturday.
Cameron Norrie gave Britain a 1-0 lead after an upset of world No. 15 Stefanos Tsitsipas, 7-6 (8), 6-4 in the men's singles.
Maria Sakkari tied it 1-1 in the following women's singles, beating British Katie Boulter 6-0, 4-6, 6-2. But Norrie and Boulter won the mixed doubles 4-3, 3-4, 4-3 to have the victory.
In another matchup, Ash Barty gave Australia a 1-0 lead over France with a 7-5, 6-3 win over Alize Cornet.
