BEIJING, Jan. 2 (Xinhua) -- Starting from 2019, around 3,000 disabled people across the country will be invited to watch classical operas, announced the China Foundation for Disabled Persons Wednesday.
This public welfare program received donations worth two million yuan (292,048 U.S. dollars) on the same day.
Zhang Yanhua, secretary-general of the foundation, said implementation of the program aims to foster humanitarianism, enrich the spiritual and cultural lives of disabled people, as well as enhance their sense of fulfillment and happiness.
