TOKYO, Jan. 4 (Xinhua) -- Two were killed and 13 injured in a fire on Friday at a lodging house in Yokohama, Japan, local media reported Friday quoting the police.
At around 6:15 a.m. local time, the fire occurred on the fifth floor of the cheap 10-story Ogiso Bekkan lodging house in a flophouse area in Yokohama near Tokyo.

Most of the 140 people who were believed to be staying at Ogiso Bekkan when the fire took place were evacuated or rescued from higher floors by a ladder truck.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, the police said.
