ISLAMABAD, Jan. 10 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani law enforcement agencies have foiled a major terror bid and recovered two roadside bombs aimed at security forces' vehicles in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK) province on Thursday, local Urdu TV channels reported.
The bombs were recovered from the Kulachi area of Dera Ismail Khan, a district in KPK province, said security officials, adding that a search operation has been launched in the area to arrest the miscreants.
Earlier in the morning, two police personnel have been injured in an improvised explosive device blast near a police vehicle in the same area of the district.
The incident happened when the police vehicle was on its way to drop officers at various check posts in the area for duty.
Following the incident, rescue teams along with security forces reached the spot and shifted the injured personnel to the District Headquarters Hospital Dera Ismail Khan.
Afterwards, the security forces launched a search operation in the surrounding areas to arrest on-the-run militants.
