MAPUTO, Dec. 15 (Xinhua) -- The ruling party of Mozambique, Frelimo, on Tuesday recognized President Filipe Nyusi's effort to maintain national peace and deal with the national economy in a troubled moment.
The statement said the office of President Nyusi who has completed four years in power was wise and pragmatic.
"Frelimo encourages President Filipe Nyusi to continue with the strong leadership of the state and government, ensuring the implementation of the government's five-year program for the well-being of Mozambicans," said the statement.
The party added that Nyusi has governance oriented in promoting sustainable economic and social development through policies that foster increased production and productivity.
"Frelimo pays compliments to the President's effort to promote good relations of friendship and cooperation with the countries of the region and the world, projecting the image of a peaceful country and of social justice," concluded the message.
