JAKARTA, Jan. 16 (Xinhua) -- Indonesia's national women's cricket team will face Nepal in the semifinal of the 2019 T20 Smash Tournament 2019 in Bangkok this Friday.
Indonesia placed second in Group A after being defeated by hosts Thailand.
Despite that setback, Indonesian cricket official Abhiram S Yadav said that the players' spirit has not been weakened, adding that they are especially determined to bounce back with a win against Nepal.
"The players have already forgotten their defeat. For now, they are focused on the semifinal, and have pledged to do their utmost in order to reach the final," Yadav told local media.
Indonesia coach Andy Cottam has pledged to give opportunities to players in top physical fitness.
"We will choose players who are in superb physical condition. I will prepare the tactics to face Nepal," he said.
Should Indonesia win their semifinal, their world ranking may rise from 22 to 19.
