WASHINGTON, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Houston Rockets general manager Daryl Morey said on Thursday that center Clint Capela had a successful surgery to repair a torn ligament in his right thumb and is expected to miss four to six weeks.
Capela suffered the injury in the Rockets' 116-109 loss to the Orlando Magic last Sunday.
After signing a five-year contract extension this summer, Capela has career-high averages of 17.6 points and 12.6 rebounds to go with 1.8 blocks a game this season.
