KUNMING, Jan. 18 (Xinhua) -- Police in southwest China's Yunnan Province busted two drug trafficking cases and seized 50.066 kg of methamphetamine, local authorities said Friday.
Local police detained a woman at 9:20 a.m. Tuesday in a village in Xishuangbanna Dai Autonomous Prefecture and seized 13.975 kg of methamphetamine from the handbag she carried.
The police later also seized 36.091 kg of methamphetamine from a bag left by another man who escaped on a motorbike.
Further investigation is underway.
