TIRANA, Jan. 19 (Xinhua) -- Albania's main opposition Democratic Party (DP) convened on Saturday the National Council to elect the leadership that will lead the party in the next four years to come.
The head of the party Lulzim Basha, in his remarks at the National Council, underlined the challenges ahead of the party
"Ahead of us lie numerous and historic challenges. However, everything starts and will be a success after transformation, modernization and Europeanization of politics," said Basha.
"Political change is our national mission of today: no more delays, extensions, make-ups facades," added Basha.
According to Basha, the main cause behind the emigration of Albanians is the lack of hope. Albanians need to wake up and build up their hopes, said the party leader.
Meanwhile, the DP deputy head Edi Paloka declared that the council had decided that the organizing structures start preparation for nationwide protests against the government and the Prime Minister Edi Rama.
