KUWAIT CITY, Jan. 22 (Xinhua) -- Kuwait is willing to work with China to strengthen the alignment of respective development strategies, the Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah said on Tuesday.
The emir made the remarks when receiving credential from the new Chinese Ambassador to Kuwait Li Minggang.
The emir highly evaluated the strategic partnership between Kuwait and China, hoping that the two sides will work together to promote the alignment of respective development strategies and better serve the two countries and peoples.
Li Minggang said that the China-Kuwait relations have been developing rapidly in recent years.
In July last year, the emir paid a successful visit to China and held in-depth talks with Chinese President Xi Jinping, during which both agreed to establish strategic partnership between the two countries to inject new impetus into bilateral ties and open up new prospects in the new era.
China attaches great importance to the development of China-Kuwait relations and is willing to work together with the Kuwaiti side to implement the consensus reached by the two countries' leaders and push the relations to a new level, ambassador noted, saying that he will spare no efforts to promote the development of China-Kuwait relations.
