MEDELLIN, Colombia, Jan. 26 (Xinhua) -- Argentine striker Hernan Barcos has joined Atletico Nacional on a free transfer, the Colombian first division club said on Saturday.
The announcement came less than a week after the 34-year-old left Brazilian side Cruzeiro by mutual consent.
"Welcome, Pirate," Atletico Nacional said in a Twitter post. "The Argentine forward has signed a contract and will be a part of our team in 2019."
No details were given about financial terms or the length of the deal.
Barcos scored just three goals in 24 matches for Cruzeiro in 2018 and was released by the Belo Horizonte club six months before the end of his contract.
Capped four times for Argentina's national team, Barcos also had spells at the Chinese Super League sides Shanghai Shenhua and Shenzhen FC, Palmeiras and Gremio, among other clubs, in a professional career that began in 2004. Enditem
