DAMASCUS, Feb. 2 (Xinhua) -- A building in the eastern part of Aleppo city in northern Syria collapsed on Saturday, killing 11 inside it, state news agency SANA reported.
The collapsed five-storey building is located in the Salahuddin neighborhood, which remains largely damaged as a result of the fighting between the rebels and the Syrian government forces before 2016 in the area.
Since its liberation in late 2016, many civilians returned to their shattered homes in the neighborhood because of the high rents in other neighborhoods in Aleppo.
According to SANA, one person was saved from the fallen building which didn't meet the standards of safety.
