MUSCAT, Feb. 5 (Xinhua) -- The Omani army said on Tuesday that Oman and the United States held a joint military exercise in the southernmost province of Dhofar.
According to a statement by the Moral Guidance of the Armed Forces of Oman, the exercise, code-named Valley of Fire, was attended by Oman's artillery, armed forces and air forces, as well as the U.S. infantry troops.
The drills took place in the fields of Rabkot, 1,000 km south of the capital Muscat.
