TRIPOLI, Feb. 6 (Xinhua) -- The Libyan Red Crescent on Tuesday recovered four unidentified bodies in a narrow area plagued by terrorist groups in the eastern Libyan city of Darna.
"The recovery of bodies continues. The Red Crescent in Darna recovered 4 unidentified bodies in the old town," the humanitarian organization said in a statement.
Clashes between the eastern-based army and militants in Darna on Monday killed six soldiers and injured 10 others, a military source said.
The source also confirmed that the terrorists suffered great losses and that "their bodies are scattered all over the place," stressing that the remaining terrorists were nearly eliminated.
The army, led by General Khalifa Haftar, is still fighting remnants of terrorists in central Darna which the army took over in June 2018 after besieging it for some three years.
The army is allied with the eastern-based government. The country is politically divided between two governments in the east and the west, both competing for legitimacy.
