BANGKOK, Feb. 7 (Xinhua) -- An accident occurred Thursday at Thailand's Suvarnabhumi airport when a large fire extinguisher cylinder was being replaced, leading to one death and 4 injuries.

According to a statement from the Airport Rail Link operator, the injured people were being treated at a hospital.

The accident happened at 13:20 during the replacement of the cylinder at the car park for employees of the rail link, the statement said.

The cylinder valve was knocked loose, releasing compressed gas stored inside. The force of the outpouring gas propelled the cylinder across the floor and it hit five workers, according to the statement.
