YANGON, Feb. 15 (Xinhua) -- Three people were killed and 12 others injured in a bus-truck collision in Myanmar's southern Ayeyarwady region, the Home Affairs Ministry said on Friday.
The crash occurred in Maubin town at 3:15 p.m. local time.
With a total of 35 passengers aboard, a passenger bus collided with a Suzuki carry truck travelling from opposite directions on the Maubin-Sarmalout road in the town.
The collision killed three people aboard the truck on the spot, including the driver and injured 12 people from both vehicles, the ministry said in a statement.
The injured were brought to the Maubin General Hospital.
The drivers of both vehicles were charged with negligence by the township police.
