SARAJEVO, Feb. 19 (Xinhua) -- Bosnia and Herzegovina's (BiH's) Service for Foreigner's Affairs has identified five illegal migrants from Afghanistan who are connected with international terrorism, so far in 2019, the country's security minister Dragan Mektic said here on Tuesday.
Mektic told a press conference that a total of six illegal migrants have been put under supervision and detained in the Immigration Service Center in East Sarajevo. Five of them are linked to international terrorism and one is linked to migrants smuggling and organized crime, and they are all threat to public security, said the official.
"The daily influx of migrants from Turkey to Greece is some 300, and this is a great number of migrants who have the intention to reach the EU over the Western Balkans," Mektic said, adding that BiH's authorities will face serious problems.
Inspectors identified the suspected people on the basis of intensified measures and through cooperation and exchange of information with domestic and international partners, primarily through the exchange of biometric data, said BiH's Service for Foreigner's Affairs in a press statement on Tuesday.
