RABAT, Feb. 21 (Xinhua) -- The Moroccan government on Thursday denied reports that a secret meeting was held between Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"The Kingdom of Morocco does not reply to rumors," Mustapha El Khalfi, Moroccan government spokesman, told a press conference.
In recent days, Israeli media said Bourita and Netanyahu held secret talks on the sidelines of UN General Assembly last September.
The Israeli prime minister's office declined to confirm the meeting, saying "we do not comment on contacts with countries Israel has no formal relations with."
