KIEV, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Ukraine's state electronic procurement system ProZorro has helped to save about 2.76 billion U.S. dollars for the country's budget since its introduction four years ago, the country's Economic Development and Trade Ministry said on Friday.
More than 215,000 entrepreneurs, including over 80 percent from companies representing small businesses, benefited from using the platform, the ministry said on Facebook.
The main advantage of the system is open data on all purchases, the ministry said.
Launched as part of Ukraine's anti-corruption reform, ProZorro is a system of public procurement that ensures the creation, placement and publication of tenders, the exchange of information and documents between traders in electronic form.
It enables any business regardless of size and country of origin to participate in Ukrainian government tenders.
