RIYADH, Feb. 22 (Xinhua) -- Saudi Arabia announced on Friday the arrival of all teams participating in the joint Peninsula Shield military exercise, Saudi Press Agency reported.
The exercise will start on Saturday, covering military scenarios to enhance the fighting capabilities of the forces and benefit the most from the joint work concept, said Abdullah bin Saeed Al Qahtani, commander in the exercise in a statement.
The exercise aims to reinforce ties, exchange of military exercises and unification of strategic military plans. It will conclude on March 14.
The exercise is one of the largest military exercises in the region in terms of troop numbers, participating countries, diversity of expertise and quality of weapons.
