DHAKA, Feb. 26 (Xinhua) -- A 4.1-magnitude earthquake struck Bangladesh capital Dhaka and parts of the country on Tuesday morning, according to a meteorologist of the Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD).
Meteorologist Abdur Rahman told Xinhua that the earthquake was centered in Gazipur on the outskirts of capital of Dhaka.
The earthquake had occurred at around 10:50 a.m. local time, he said.
Fire service men said they had not received any report of damage or casualty yet.
Bangladesh, which sits on the zone of earthquake, is prone to tremors.
