MADRID, Feb. 27 (Xinhua) -- Spanish shares lost on Wednesday with the benchmark index Ibex-35 down 0.17 percent, or 15.50 points, to close at 9,211.70 points.
A total of 22 of the selected 35 large companies lost in the session.
Energy company Ence lost 2.65 percent, hotel chain Melia hotels went down 2.60 percent and airline group IAG was down 2.53 percent.
Spain's fifth largest bank Banco Sabadell advanced 3.08 percent, Spain's second-largest bank BBVA rose 2.44 percent and Spain's third-largest bank Caixabank was up 2.34 percent. Enditem
